The west coast of Norway is well-known for two wet things.
Fish.
And rain.
It's a blessing to have fresh salmon, trout, mackerel, cod, and shellfish at our fingertips. On the other hand, an entire month of August filled with rain; and a September that seems to be no different, becomes a drag after a while. No wonder I've been getting so much "domestic" work down lately...
On the other hand, when you're handed a perfectly lovely, sunny Saturday with visitors from Oslo and Dublin, it's nice to have a couple of home-baked specialties to serve them in your garden. And to think we were going to take the patio furniture down the day before!
Sigh. We've had a similar few months. Barely an evening nice enough to sit out.
Beautiful photos.

I love your tea cups. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

It is best to always hold out as long as possible before putting the lawn furniture away. Ours would usually go after the first frost in MI (however it was freakishly early some years).

It sure looks nice there and I'm not just talking about the scenery. ;)
