It's been documented to be the rainiest fall in a century.
Yea, a century.
Rivers, streams, and waterfalls are popping up in places people have never seen before. Long-term residents are considering a move-of-address. And newcomers (like me) have to re-assure themselves that all this wet is worth it.
But then this little piece of news popped up and I had to say to myself, "Self, it's worth it".
Of course, a short vacation from the rain doesn't hurt to brighten one's dreary outlook. I'm headed to balmy Minnesota for a couple of weeks. Don't expect many postings before I'm back, but in the meantime, take a peak at the wet but pretty fall colors.
I promise to return from the trip with a few new recipes in my luggage.
Beautiful! Seattle alternates between bright and dreary in the fall, too, but despite the long, wet days, this really is home.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!
And as for Minnesota, not so balmy right now. Brrrr! Perhaps you will feel at home here?
I hope your trip is going well. p.s. you inspired me - started my own blog; gave you a shout-out in the sidebar (www.lifeinreviews.com). I'm reviewing anything and everything, and I think your FABULOUS chocolate ginger cookies will make an appearance (they now have a cult following among my friends, as do you!) xoxo
