A person needs a lot of patience to take daily photos of their food. That and a weird kind of passion. Sometimes I've got that patience and sometimes I just don't.
The days are getting brighter and longer here on the west coast. Sunrise this morning was officially at 8:56 and sunset will be at 16:45- that's 15 minutes before 5 PM for those of you having trouble with army time.
These little pieces of information may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but for those of us living in near complete darkness over the past couple of months, a little extra sunshine is a extraordinarily welcomed change. Not only do these longer days make it easier to wake up in the morning, but the urge to photograph and spend time outside rises drastically.
It also helps when you've got a date with your neighbors down the road.....
And I have good neighbors too!
Perhaps the most charming in all of town. And it seems not only do they enjoy the increasing sunlight as much as I do, they've taken a special liking to that new little world citizen nestled cozily in my belly for just another few days. Before we know it, the baby will be able to hang out with the neighbors too!
As much as I love your food photos, I think I love your horse pics even more. I can't get enough of those Fjord ponies. Beautiful!

Thanks for the comment, Patrice!
Sometimes I feel torn- you have to include a nice photo if you want someone to make your cookies or buns, but it's a lot more fun to take pictures of someone charismatic! -SiRi

Can't wait to meet your neighbors! At least these don't play loud music late at night or over-indulge.
