This is my second little Saturday post on contemporary Norwegian music.
Kaizers Orchestra is easily one of the most popular bands (rock or other) in Norway today and has become recognized for being one the first (non-death metal) Norwegian bands to sing in Norwegian and still become popular outiside of Scandinavia. It's pointless to categorize them, but they are known for having a gypsy rock and "Balkan brass" style and for having very energetic live shows where they bang on oil drums and wear old gas masks. This song is called Hjerteknuser ("heart crusher") and it's a newer one and one of my favorites.
If you missed my first Norwegian music post, you can catch it and listen to Jarle Bernhoft here.
Well, I like this even if no one else does! Somehow I can't picture Norwegians performing like this.
