It's blueberry season in Sogn og Fjordane. Last weekend we hit up out favorite berry patch (yea, like I'm going to tell you where it is...). Lasse, knowing a good thing when he tastes one, ate more than his fair share of our loot, then he went for a swim (sorry, photos too nakey to share with you all). Of course, there were a few berries left over for baking too.
On the menu for the month of August: wild blueberry and barley flour muffins.
Is the little yellow berry "picker" for the youngest member of the family? They sell them at Linder's!

I remember gathering blueberries one summer in northern Ontario after just graduating from college. We were having a great time until we noticed very large, fresh tracks from a bear. We decided to take the canoes and move to another area.
